Women jewellery collection is definitely worth of attention among priceless collections of the museums. In this
collection, jewellery from Khorezm stands out with its originality of forms. Other jewellery of Tashkent,
Samarkand, Bukhara, Surkhandariya, Sirdariya, Fergana and Karakalpakistan complement the collection. Jewellery
that were made in traditional and national styles since XIX century to the present time are kept in depository
of the museum. These are headwear - tillyakosh, tillyabargak, bolaobru, sinsila, sarsuzan, bibishak, shoukalla,
takhiyaduzi, bodomoy, zulf, and others; chest decorations - zebigardon, bozband, kukrak tumor, and pearl munchaks;
hair decorations - chochpopuk, naicha, kalitbogi; bracelets and rings of different shapes.
Since 1980, the art of making traditional decorations from cupronickel got a second wind. For example, there are
around 30 items of Tashkent's jeweller K.A. Azizov are kept in the museum. Among them you can find bracelets and
rings that are decorated with perfect iridescent ornamental patterns. Neck amulets, zebigardon, and ear-rings
created by F. Dadamukhamedov; tillyakoshs, amulets, bracelets, rings, created by N. N. Dzuba in the style of
filigree; bracelets, rings, ear-rings and other jewellery created by Z. Gulyamov stand out with its beautiful
and contemporary design.
